Topshop Secret Store

Topshop's latest exciting project, a secret pop-up shop, launches on Thursday in the fashion retailers London and New York flagship stores and online.

Customers will be invited to search within the stores for a secret door hidden behind a curtain of floral arrangements (designed by Meadham Kirchoff) which leads to a unique designer boutique filled with fashion treasures. Such a concept has never been done before and helps to define the already fashion-forward brand as one of the UK's leading fashion labels, concerned with pushing the boundaries of fashion and looking towards what the future holds for fashion.

The pop-up shop will give designers an opportunity to design items which they haven't been able to include in their mainline collections. "It's a great opportunity, for the designers we collaborate with to produce something unusual that they've not done before, and also a chance for our in-house design team to let their imaginations run riot" said Madelaine Evans, Head of Buying at Topshop. "We're thrilled to be the first high street store to introduce a pop-up space of this nature. It's an exciting project for Topshop and I hope it will surprise and delight customers both old and new."

Topshop Secret Store is exclusive to the London and New York flagship stores for just two weeks from Thursday 26th May and selected pieces will also be available online.

Designers involved include Meadham Kirchoff, Masir Mazahr, Pamela Love, Maria Francesca Pepe, Emma Cook, Ann-Sophie Back, Michael Van der Ham, Steve Morris, Tom Scott, Boutique and Unique.

Sunday

Cannes c'est chic!

So it may be the most prestigious film festival in the world, but it wasn't the films that were getting us all excited this week at the annual Cannes Film Festival, it was the dresses.

Kirsten Dunst was my favourite of the evening in Chanel Haute Couture. A delicate pink diamond lace minidress layered with a sheer tier of the same diamond lace which continues to the ground, provides the ultimate amalgamation of mini and maxi red carpet glamour. Whilst the cute pink ribbon nipping in Kirsten's waist indulges in a girlish ballerina-esque charm, the
scalloped design embellishment around the neck area adds a more grown up allure.

Mia Wasikowska looked stunning on the red carpet in Roland Mouret. It's dresses like these that show how the cut and shape of a dress is just as important as originality. The clean cut, origami neckline pleats and tight waist accentuate Mia's trim body whilst the red oozes glamour and confidence. The fluidity to the bottom of the dress is both elegant and sophisticated and is in keeping with the current trend for maxi length dresses. Definitely a red carpet worthy dress!

And here are some of the other best dressed celebrities of the night!
