Chevron Nails Tutorial

I know it's been a while since I posted any nail designs and for that I apologise. I seem to have been so busy over the last few months and weeks that I have only ever found the time to polish my nails but not for nail art. And so, now that I've found myself with a week or so of absolutely nothing to do (I am struggling I must admit) I have looked to the Olympics for inspiration and come up with a sportier design than normal.

You will need:
2 colour nail polishes
1 gold polish
1 nail striper

Start by painting your nails in the base colour of your choice - I opted for Barry M 309.
Step 1: Using your top colour (I used Barry M 211) paint a diagonal stroke from the outside of the nail to the centre of the tip on each side.
Step 2: Using your striper, paint two gold lines along the edge of your top colour
Add a top coat to prevent chips, et voila!

This design isn't nearly as hard as you'd think, all it takes is a steady hand. However, the gold stripes would be near impossible without a nail striper so if you are considering giving it a go, I would definitely recommend investing in one. You can buy them really cheap on eBay!
