Monday Pick Me Up

This weeks Monday Pick Me Up has been inspired by my forthcoming holiday to Zante. I don't know if it's just me, but I find choosing what you are going to bring on holiday almost as fun as the holiday itself. Ok, that is a slight exaggeration but I can't help getting excited about my holiday wardrobe and normally end up buying most of it weeks before I actually leave. That's not to say I don't go out holiday shopping the week and even day before I go, of course I do, it just means that I end up with double the amount of clothes and accessories than I actually need!

Anyway, back to the shorts. I am a firm believer that the most essential item in your holiday wardrobe is a good pair of denim shorts. However, finding the right pair can be trickier than you think. There's length, cut, colour, pockets and detailing all to consider. Being tall, I like to wear high waisted shorts because they suit long legs. These ones from Miss Selfridge caught my eye instantly when I saw them whilst shopping in Bluewater yesterday. The star stud detailing makes them stand out from the sea of boring shorts that dominate the high street but aren't too zaney that they look silly. If only they weren't £39 - with 5 or 6 pairs of shorts already, I don't think I can justify buying another!
